  • What Are Contraindications?
Contraindications are conditions or factors that may prevent you from receiving certain skincare treatments. If you have any of the following conditions, please let us know so we can adjust your treatment or recommend the best course of action for your safety and comfort.

    • Suspicious Lesions or Open Wounds - If you have any open sores, unusual spots, or areas on your skin that look infected or concerning, it’s important to see a physician before getting a treatment. This does not include harmless conditions like moles or regular breakouts.

    • Compromised Skin Barrier - If your skin is sensitive, inflamed, red, burning, itchy, rashy, dry, dehydrated, flaky, or cracking, it may be too reactive for certain treatments. Let us know if you're experiencing any of these symptoms.

    • Herpetic Breakout - If you have any sores caused by the herpes virus, whether on your face or elsewhere, it's best to avoid facial treatments until they have fully healed.

    • Photosensitivity/Photosensitizing - If you have a medical condition or are taking medication that makes your skin more sensitive to the sun, certain treatments may not be suitable. Please inform us if you are aware of any increased sun sensitivity.

    • Couperose (Visible Red Blood Vessels) - If you have small, visible red blood vessels on your face due to weakened capillary walls, some treatments may need to be adjusted to avoid irritation.

    • Claustrophobia - If you are uncomfortable in tight spaces, certain treatments like firming facials and HydraJelly masks might cause discomfort as they can feel slightly constricting. Please let us know if you have claustrophobia so we can ensure your comfort during the treatment.
