  • I. Pale white skin, blue/green eyes, blond/red hair. Always burns, does not tan.

    II. Fair skin, blue eyes. Burns easily, tans poorly.

    III. Darker white skin. Tans after initial burn.

    IV. Light brown skin. Burns minimally, tans easily.

    V. Brown skin. Rarely burns, tans darkly easily.

    VI. Dark brown or black skin. Never burns, always tans darkly.

  • Discontinue the use of Vitamin A, Rentin-A, Renova (all Retinols) 7 days prior to peel

    Discontinue the use of glycolic and salicylic acid 7 days prior to peel

    If you have taken Accutane, you must wait 1 year before getting a peel

  • Do not cleanse skin for 12 hours after the peel.

    Do not put face directly under hot shower.

    Do not use Jacuzzis, steam rooms or saunas.

    Do not participate in activities that would cause excessive sweating.

    Do not use any scrubs or mechanical forms of exfoliation.

    No scrubs, retinoic acids, AHA’s, BHA’s, or astringents until the skin has healed.

    DO NOT PEEL OR PICK AT THE SKIN.

  • Salicylic Acid (BHA)

    • Fitzpatrick: I-V

    • Benefits: Penetrates sebaceous material, exfoliates pores, anti-inflammatory

    • Contraindications (not a candidate for treatment):

      • Dry, dehydrated skin

      • Aspirin or salicylic sensitivity

      • Pregnant or nursing

      • Glycolic or salicylic acid use within the past week

      • Compromised lipid barrier

      • Accutane use within the past year

      • Hypersensitivity

      • Herpetic breakout, open wounds, or suspicious lesions

  • Lactic Acid (AHA)

    • Fitzpatrick: I-VI

    • Benefits: Increases GAGs, ceramides, improves water barrier, tyrosinase inhibitor

    • Contraindications (not a candidate for treatment):

      • Hypersensitivity or highly allergic

      • Compromised lipid barrier

      • Accutane use within the past year

      • Glycolic or salicylic acid use within the past week

      • Herpetic breakout, open wounds, or suspicious lesions

      • Retin-A or Renova use within the past week

  • Vitamin A (Retinol)

    • Suitable for Fitzpatrick I-VI

    • Benefits: Multifunctional treatment booster, accelerates peeling without damage

    • Contraindications (not a candidate for treatment):
